Frequently Asked Questions

How do I pay for eggs?

Pickup customers pay each time they pick up. Delivery customers pay upon receiving an invoice at the end of each month. 3 ways to pay:

  • Cash/check dropped in cooler at pickup (or, if delivery, make arrangements to have your delivery person pick up). Please make checks out to James Jacobs.

  • Venmo: @deckerSeggs (remember "s" in the middle - there is another user, @deckereggs, no "s" in middle, and he's not us.

  • PayPal: deckerseggs@gmail.com (friends and family payments please, to save me from paying credit card fee)

What do you feed your chickens?

Only the best. We buy organic feed created specifically for hens who lay. Locally sourced by the fabulous Sunrise Farms. We also feed them scraps from the kitchen at Ivy Roadhouse - they love all the fresh fruits and vegetables! And of course, they spend all day eating bugs and pecking through fresh grass. They are in a mobile chicken house that moves to a new “salad bar” of fresh grass every few days.

How are the eggs harvested? What is your process?

First, we go to the chicken coop and collect the eggs. The clean eggs then go straight into the carton while the dirty eggs go in a bucket to get cleaned. Then the eggs go in the fridge until delivery day, at which point you and your family can enjoy your farm fresh eggs!

How often can I get eggs? Do you offer Delivery or Pickup?
